Bobby Brown Explains Why He Left Whitney’s Funeral Service After Just 20 Minutes. Some Say It Went Down A Little Differently.

By Team BLAM

There was a whole bunch of speculation around why Bobby left Whitney’s funeral service after just 20 minutes.  Some said he stormed out creating a scene because of seating.

To clear up speculation, his rep released a statement from Brown saying:

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions.

“I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina.

“In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events.

Others who attended the service, including the pastor had a different take on what went down.  Check out the video below and see what others are saying.

Let's examine the situation from this point of view:

Sarah had been married to a Bob for 20yrs but 5 years ago they got a divorce. Bob and Sarah had experienced a tumultuous marriage. Throughout the marriage, she cheated on him, cut up all his clothes, and verbally abused him. After the divorce, Sarah moved on with someone else and had another child. Bob's family was happy about the divorce because they had always disliked Sarah. Bob's family always felt Sarah was an unhealthy partner for Bob and wanted him to find a better mate.

Upon his recent death, Bob's family held an invitation-only funeral service to which they only sent Sarah 3 invitations. However, Sarah wanted to bring her step-children and others who knew him, so she showed up to the funeral with 9 people hoping that she would be accommodated. When they couldn't accommodate her, she said she felt as if she had been disrespected and left the funeral.

Should Sarah have stayed at the funeral and paid her respects to her late ex-husband?

First and foremost whatever went down I’m glad Bobbie took the higher road. We all know Bobbie so he could have acted out but he did not. Some would say he should not have left but he did what he felt he had to do to remain respectful to his late wife and his daughter. Keep taking the higher road Bobbie. I pray the families can come together respectfully when need be for Bobbie Kristina sake.
