Morgan Freeman Denies Romantic Relationship With His Step Granddaughter

For years there have been rumors circulating that Oscar winning actor Morgan Freeman is dating his step grand-daughter E’Dena Hines. Though not related by blood, the age difference between 74-year-old Freeman and his 27-year-old grand-daughter made headlines on many major news outlets. Now, for the first time since the rumors of the romance started four years ago, both Morgan and Hines are speaking out.

In a statement to TMZ, the Invictus star said that the countless stories of a romantic relationship between he and Hines are absurd.

“The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well,” Freeman said.

Hines also released a statement in an attempt to set the record straight. “These stories about me and my grandfather are not only untrue, they are also hurtful to me and my family,” she said.

What makes the recent statements made my Freeman and Hines so puzzling, is that it took so long for them to address the shocking allegations.

Jada Pinkett Smith Sets The Record Straight And Speaks On Separation Rumors

Amid all the widespread hysteria surrounding the Will & Jada divorce rumors there was someone who sat quietly and seemingly focussed on what matters most….family.  That someone was Jada Pinkett Smith.  Until recently she has watched and waited for the media storm to passs and just as wisdom would have it, she’s humbly began peeking to see if the skies are clear.  In a recent interview with Gala France, she attempts to calm the swirling speculation and sets the record straight.  This is what she had to say:

“Every year, a celebrity couple is on the radar. This year, unluckily, it’s us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it,” she told Gala France.

“But Will and I know the truth. We are waiting peacefully for when the storm ends.”

She believes the gossip has surfaced because they spend time apart working on different projects. Pinkett Smith insists she has a healthy relationship with her husband and children despite the distance between them.

“These rumours are completely untrue. I’m travelling a lot because of my work, as Will does. And the fact that I’m accompanying our daughter, Willow, on her trips, while Will spends time with our son, Jaden, doesn’t make things easier,” she said.

“But our way of living hasn’t changed. Before the children, we were already away from each other quite often because of our work.”

The couple make time for each other during their breaks from work. She is looking forward to their next beach holiday.

“In general, Will and I take two months of holiday, at the end of the year,” she said.

“Right after Thanksgiving, we shut down the curtain and nothing comes to bother our family life until January.”

NBA legend Earvin “Magic’ Johnson and his wife Cookie Johnson made an appearance on “Piers Morgan” show a couple of nights ago to talk about their relationship and how she dealt with being told he was HIV positive.  Magic said it was a tough ride to tell her because he was about to “hurt his best friend”.  In diplomatic fashion, he said he’d understand if she wanted to leave….and then she “laid hands on him”.  Magic said in that moment he felt her emotionally and they both started to cry.

During a recent interview with The Huffington Post, R&B singer Tamia revealed what keeps her marriage to NBA hubby Grant hill, her thoughts on the “Basketball Wives” franchise, details behind her upcoming album “Beautiful Surprise,” and her battle with multiple sclerosis.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

 

What are some things that you guys do to help keep your marriage thriving?

 

I always say, “What works in one marriage may not work in the next. So definitely keep your eyes focused on your own relationship.” I think it’s important to understand that you guys are going to grow. Obviously, I’m not the same person that I was at 24, and he’s not the same person that he was. But we also together allowed each other to grow as well and stay connected at the same time. And I think that’s important. And obviously, communication is super important. And at the end of the day we just love being with each other and being really good friends.

 

Since you’re married to an athlete, what are your thoughts on the perception of the “Basketball Wives” franchise?

 

Well, I think the perception is definitely not a reality. I think, to be fair, a lot of those women [on the show] aren’t wives. And I’m good friends with Shaunie. And as far as business is concerned, I applaud her, but I think that it’s definitely very misleading in terms of what our lives are about. I do have a lot of friends who are married to athletes, and a lot of these women are involved in charities, doing all kinds of things behind the scenes and are supportive wives, and — believe it or not — have supportive husbands who are really great guys. I think not only for the women, but I think it just paints a really bad picture about the men as well. I think for athletes in general, people are like, “Why would you want to marry an athlete?” And that goes back to what I was saying to you: what works in one person’s marriage, may not work in the next. So keep your eyes focused on yours! I guess it’s interesting TV, but it’s definitely not reality.
