I'm very surprised that you did not mention the role of Loretta Devine and the relationship that she had with her son. And the son's relationship with his mother(they had such opposite views), as these isssues could possibly follow them into their marriage. Would a make a good sequel? No. A good soap opera/drama maybe.

That's an excellent point…..i would like to see it play out further in a part 2. Their relationship dynamic was interesting to say the least. It would make for good drama. The acting was kinda suspect in the beginning of the movie tho'

Ma'ats, I really liked the movie, a lot more than I thought I would, actually. I appreciated seeing portrayals of black people from diverse backgrounds. Usually in these projects, everyone is either from the "hood" or from the "hill." Rarely do you see these two (or more) dynamics presented concurrently. It was romantic, hilarious, and refreshing.
